Been busy??

That’s an understatement! But it’s still a sad excuse for not blogging… A lot has happened since my last log.

On the entrepreneurial side: Skype was sold for 4.2 billion $ And the multi talented entrepreneur Morten Lund earned his share.. He truly deserves it!! He is the most talented entrepreneur I have ever met. Truly an inspiration.

Propeople has expanded and we are facing new challenges. Brand new products/projects - “ProPPL” I will post the link as soon as we are ready! New Propeople offices will open soon!

And on the personal side I am facing a lot of new challenges. I am using all of my entrepreneurial skills in a couple of new companies! I will post about it when I feel the timing is right.

AND on the family side… I’m going to be a dad in January.. That is huge to me! It’s going to be so much fun. Right now we are working on our new apartment so we are ready when the baby comes.

Moving to the US is not put standby.. We still plan on moving “over there” the date is set :-) 08.08.08

I will get my act straight and start posting a lot more…

The year of me?!?!?!

Its late Sunday the time is 23.45 and its the last 15 minutes of my 27th birthday :-)
The day has been great. Sunny, warm and a small celebration with the closest family.. nice!!! Monday morning is moving in hasty :-) But instead of using the last 15 minutes thinking of work tomorrow I will use it to reflect over the next year.

I used the last 12 months working hard with ProPeople, GoMoskito, and in my free time working on the board of Amtets Culture program and the board of Young Enterprise. I used a lot of time working to make other people happy. Working because it was expected of me! Don’t get me wrong as an entrepreneur I definitely am a workaholic no doubt at all.

But I worked for all the wrong reasons!!

That is why I am dedicating my next year to this “headline”.

“The year of me” – which means I will work for me and my family! Not to please others..

These 5 points is my new manta:

1. I will only work in projects I like – otherwise I will just say no!
2. I am giving no free rides! – I will just say no!
3. I am promoting myself and the projects I’m in nothing else – otherwise I will just say no!
4. I am an entrepreneur and I will not allow anyone to tie me down – I will just say no!
5. I will not care of what people think of me! Screw the Danish Jantelov. I am kicking that shit to the curb :-)

Well its not my birthday anymore (its 5 minutes past 12) but I think this mantra is going to help me getting more focused on my work and on myself.

And just to point it out.... I WILL JUST SAY NO :-)

Is the mosquito finally flying?

I’m involved in a new start up (GoMoskito) and it’s a brilliant concept if I may say so :-)… Its to soon to tell about the project but we are so close to launch that we can all taste it! When we launch I will give a quick tour through the concept and comment on all the ups and downs the entrepreneurial way.

I just want to thank all the guys involved in the project so far – Remember its better to get a small bite of a huge cake – than splitting a small danish in to 7 pieces :-) Its important that we keep an objective mind all the way through these exiting times… And to everybody else who don’t have a any clue what I’m writing about: Keep you self updating on the GoMoskito concept right here (I will post the story in about two months)

Revenge of the Nerds?

When it comes to entrepreneurial success, what counts for more: a street smart, can do attitude or an advanced academic degree? Are you sure? Under what conditions?

The Danish Linkedin.com wannabe site mingler.dk is now open. I must say that I expected a lot of this site. But sadly it flunked big time. Its badly designed and the usability is awful. If I could I would delete my profile. But at the moment its not possible so think twice before signing up!!!! I prefer Linkedin.com anytime..Mingler.dk is a great idea but design, usability and innovative thinking is 3 things which are missing in this project! To bad…

ProPeople is facing new challenges

Year 2005 is definitely going to be our year! In about 2 months we are launching our new product SuperFly. I will tell much about this later.

Our new super hot website is coming up! I will post it here as soon as it is ready!

Soon we are opening a new office in Sweden, Malmö. Later this year around June we are launching with a new office in Tower 42, London.

Its going to be a tuff year work wise but its definitely going to be worth it! I will keep you updated with all new stuff about us.

Gmail now with 2 GB

In a continuation of a tit-for-tat game that began a year ago, Google today is doubling the already robust amount of free storage on its Gmail e-mail accounts -- to 2 gigabytes. That's enough for about 200,000 text e-mail messages. Woow :-) See it here and btw if you want an account please let me know!

Google gulp??

Even though its an April fools joke I actually think its kind of cool (design wise). My guess is that people would buy this product…. of course if it contained regular beverages ! Google is a major brand but its also associated with entrepreneurship, startups and what they do is just cool… anyways I would buy it Hmmmm... or would I? check it here

Serial entrepreneurs - They Just Can't Stop Themselves

Once exotic, but now a days serial entrepreneurs are everywhere. But you got to love the expression Serial entrepreneurs :-) Even though this is an American word/lifestyle, I can only hope that it will catch on I Denmark as well. Things look as they are about to change but we have the Danish spoken law “janteloven” Lets get rid of it once and for all.. As that is ever going to happen :-) Check out how things are evolving in the US INC

JupiterResearch: RSS Adoption Not Really Simple

New Jupiter study shows that big time marketers aren't buying the idea!!. I think they are wrong big time. Read it here (DMnews.com)

1 GB everywhere!

Bruce Young writes "Yahoo said late Tuesday that it will provide 1 gigabyte of storage for each free e-mail account. The current limit is 250 megabytes. The expanded storage which will be available in mid-April will enable Yahoo to catch up with online search engine leader Google. "
News from Slashdot

It seems like everyone is giving 1GB email storage away, respect to google for being there first!
